Why Do I Need A GlowShift Transmission Temperature Gauge?
Installing an auto transmission temperature gauge is the best way to prevent overheating since it allows you to track the transmission’s temperature to ensure it is working at peak efficiency. The optimal fluid temperature is between 175° to 225° Fahrenheit, where temperatures above these levels can lead to damage. Trans Temp Gauges can warn you when excessive heat is reached and may possibly be ruining the transmission fluid or damaging the transmission. This can be a helpful tool for any vehicle with an automatic transmission, including diesel trucks that tow heavy loads over long distances. Installing a transmission temp gauge can potentially save you from costly transmission repairs down the line.
How GlowShift’s Car & Truck Trans Temp Gauge Works
GlowShift Transmission Temperature Gauges are electronically driven and use a 1/8-27 NPT Electronic Transmission Temperature Sensor to read and display your car or truck’s transmission temperature by installing directly to the transmission test port. Transmission Line T-fitting Adapters are available to "T" into your Transmission Cooler Line, making the installation even easier. Installation of this auto trans temp gauge will vary by application and may require additional threading adapters. The analog trans temp gauges take readings from 80° - 260° Fahrenheit and the digital versions read from 68° - 302° Fahrenheit. GlowShift’s Celsius Trans Temp Gauge reads from 20° - 150° Celsius.
What's Included with a GlowShift Trans Temp Gauge Kit?
In addition to the 1/8-27 NPT Electronic Transmission Temperature Sensor, GlowShift Transmission Temperature Gauges come with additional parts that are required for installation. You will also receive a Transmission Temperature Sensor Harness and a Power Harness, both of which easily clip into the back of the gauge. Also included is Mounting Hardware, a Gauge Visor and more.
