How Do I Install GlowShift Gauge Pods for the 94-97 Dodge Ram Cummins?
Whether it’s a Dodge Ram 2500 gauge pod or 3500 gauge pod, you’ll have everything you need for the install. Each Dodge Ram Pillar Pod comes with detailed step-by-step instructions that will walk you through the installation process. Since all of these gauge pods are an overlay of the factory A-pillar, color matched push-in fasteners are included which allow you to easily secure them. Begin by removing the factory A-pillar and mock your gauge pod up to the factory A-pillar trim in the location where you are planning to mount it. Use a scoring tool to mark the location on the factory A-Pillar where you plan to mount the gauge pod with the fasteners. Install your gauges in the pod by following the instructions that are included with them. Once the gauges are installed, place the Dodge Ram pillar gauge pod against the factory A-pillar to see how much clearance is available for both the gauges and wire harnesses. It may be necessary to drill a hole in the factory A-pillar to allow the wires from the gauge to pass through. Connect the gauge wires to the power and sensor wires as per the instructions included with the gauges. With the gauge pod placed on the factory A-pillar, make sure it is properly aligned with the scoring marks you made, and drill a 7/32” hole at the marked locations through the Cummins gauge pod and the factory A-pillar. Install the gauge pod to the factory A-pillar using the fasteners by pressing them in firmly. If you do not want to use the fasteners, you can also use Velcro or double-sided tape to mount the Dodge Ram gauge pod to the A-pillar. Finally, reinstall the factory A-pillar with the installed gauge pod.
