GlowShift's Red LED Digital Tachometer with Shift Light is a vital accessory for those seeking a reliable tachometer and shift light combined into one easy to use, affordable unit. Each digital tachometer is mounted in a durable black metal pod and is a standalone unit that can be wired up to any vehicle with a 4, 6, or 8 cylinder gasoline engine. Its three wire connection makes for a fast and easy installation to the vehicles coil or tach signal wire. (It may be necessary to install a tach adapter for multiple coil applications.) The unit is easily adjustable allowing you to select between 0 to 9,999 RPMs in 100 RPM increments. It connects securely into its included pedestal mount allowing you to position the tachometer in any desired location. GlowShift stands behind each unit with a one year limited warranty and free lifetime technical support.
Note: Our Tachometers are only designed for a gasoline, single coil application. For multiple coil applications, the use of a multiple coil or aftermarket ignition system adapter is required. Vehicles equipped with High Energy Ignition Systems (HEI) will require GlowShift’s HEI Signal Filter.

Good quality and fairly accurate
I've used the digital tachometer in one car and a dune buggy. Going on six years and no issues with either. First time I installed one I learned about the optional tach filter needed for some ignition systems, which mine needed, so just be sure to check with support to know if you need one of those also.
The display is bright enough for use in my buggy out in the direct sunlight.
For accuracy, I've checked with a more expensive gauge as well as the cars EFI system and it reads very accurate in comparison. I also think the numbers change quick enough to be useful.
Build quality seems comparable to cheaper brands, but I've seen more negative reviews for those brands about the device being inaccurate or defective or breaking after just a few weeks or months. For the two I use, they have lasted six years so I think that is worth noting when comparing prices against other brands.

Not enough information
There wasn't enough information provided to tell you that you needed to add an extra component to this tack so it would work with your electronic ignition system other than HEI
