Check out this 68RFE Transmission Filter Steel Screw Upgrade for the 2007-2021 Dodge Ram 6.7L Cummins. This 68RFE Transmission spin on filter screw replaces the factory fitting on the filter which tends to wear down over time.
The issue came up when we had a 6.7 Cummins in the shop to film some product and install videos. The factory screw is made out of plastic. After being used repeatedly there’s a really good chance it won’t hold. Basically, if this thing breaks the transmission filter can fall off, and if that happens you’re looking at a lot of problems for your Ram truck’s transmission.
Our replacement fitting is made out of steel and easily screws in by hand to the 68RFE transmission filter. This 68RFE Transmission spin on filter screw steel upgrade is tough and durable and will last. It can be used as many times as you need so you won’t have to worry about it breaking down. That way you’ll have added peace of mind by avoiding potential transmission damage because of a faulty screw.
One important thing to remember is that we manufactured this replacement screw specifically for 07-21 Dodge Ram 2500 & 3500 6.7 Cummins trucks. If you have a Ram in this year range we definitely recommend upgrading to the steel screw as soon as possible. Our 68RFE Transmission spin on filter screw has you covered with that.
