GlowShift’s White 7 Color Series Transmission Temperature Gauge is essential for any vehicle with an automatic transmission, especially diesel trucks that are towing heavy loads. This gauge allows you to closely monitor the temperature of your transmission, ensuring that it does not overheat causing significant damage. By connecting to the included electronic temperature sensor, this trans temp gauge will effectively take readings from 80° to 260° Fahrenheit.

The White 7 Color Gauge Series
GlowShift’s White 7 Color Gauge Series comes standard with features including a white gauge face, magnified clear lens and illuminated red needle. Stepper motor technology gives this pyrometer gauge the perfect combination of extremely accurate gauge readings along with incredibly smooth needle movement. The White 7 Color Gauge Series includes the ultra-bright LED solid color modes Blue, Green, Red, Teal, Yellow, Purple and White. Also included is GlowShift’s 7 Color Lighting System which allows you to select and change the color of your gauge lighting display by simply pressing the button located along the front of the gauge. With the 7 Solid Color Settings and 2 Color Cycle Modes that utilize all of the radiant LED colors, you can customize the color of this EGT pyrometer gauge and add your own personal touch and style to the inside of your vehicle. Plus with the Color Memory option, you won’t have to reset the color of your gauge every time you turn on your vehicle. Your gauge will reflect your most recent color setting the next time it is active. By connecting the orange wire of your gauge to the factory headlight switch, you’ll be able to dim your gauge 30% when your headlights are turned on to reduce the brightness of your gauges while driving at night.

Why Is Transmission Temperature So Important?
One of the major factors in reducing the life of a vehicle’s transmission is overheating, and one of the main reasons a truck transmission overheats is due to the strain of towing larger and heavier amounts of cargo. Your trans temp gauge will monitor transmission temperatures during a larger haul and alert you in the event of temperature spikes. Another issue is older transmission fluid. Older transmission fluid will be less effective at performing its primary functions, one of the most important of which is keeping the system cool. The typical range for transmission fluid temperature is between 175° and 225°, and keeping within that average range is vital to your engine and transmission’s long term performance. This is where transmission temperature gauges come into play, which work by monitoring the temperature of your car or truck’s transmission by measuring the transmission fluid’s temperature. By having a trans temp gauge, you’ll be kept one step ahead of any possible issues involving overheating that could potentially seize your transmission.

installation instructions were easy to follow this white face guage works and looks great also compliments my white face vacuum guage I would recommend the purchase of the offered extended wire kit and if you have a gm 4L60-E transmission you will need to buy the stubby sending unit to install into the trans test port no need to drain fluid from trans when you remove the bolt from the test port to install the stubby sending unit the 7 different colors you can chose from is a great idea

I love this gauge install went pretty easy. I purchased the extended wiring harness which was nice but the main power and switched power leads were still to short for my setup. That doesn't at all effect my opinion. The only negatives that I had was the wiring is very thin, it's plenty sufficient for its purpose but it's just a pain to splice cause it's so thin. My other negative was the mounting clamp screws didn't have enough length to install the little visor that came with the gauge. Not a big deal, otherwise I love the gauge and it works great. Thank you glow shift for the awesome affordable product, I will be buying more gauges from you in the future.

My son and I installed a GlowShift white trans temp gauge yesterday. While the installation was successful there were some issues along the way that had more to do with the fact that the tow vehicle is a 1998 Ford E-150 van than the gauge itself. Of course the next one I do will be a piece of cake!!(haha). I like the gauge colors but I find some are quite difficult to read with polarized sunglasses on. I wish there was a way to dim the gauge even further than the gauge's own dimming feature. Other than that the gauge indicated the tranny was performing perfectly and that was a relief since I had no idea what was happening with the tranny. I'm very happy with the gauge and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great sexy looking gauge.
