This replacement sensor is equipped with 2 post thumb screws where “wk” is for ground and “g” is for the green signal wire that is part of the gauge harness. The sensor has a 1/8-27 NPT male thread for an easy connection to the pressure source. The length is 3 1/4” with a diameter of 1 3/4”. This sender is identified by its brass color and a yellow sticker that says "Oil Press Sender."

My oil pressure sensor went bad after about 2 years from installation. Out of warranty, but sooner than my expectation for a simple device failure. The Glowshift tech support provided resistance vs. pressure spec.s that helped me quickly diagnose that the sensor was bad. On my installation, replacement meant putting the car up and taking off the oil filter. After that, its a simple hand tightening affair for the two electrical hookups and the sensor itself. I would prefer better reliability. It's not the replacement cost, it's the Saturday morning it burned up to fix it.

Love my GlowShift gauges. I recently broke a terminal off my oil pressure sending unit while removing exhaust. Was happy and surprised that I could purchase an exact replacement without having to buy the entire gauge kit.

I bought this to replace the one that came with the gauge. The original one lasted maybe 3 years. I like the gauges and they are fairly priced. But I think the sensor is a little pricey ($20 with shipping) considering it didn't last that long. And the factory one is only $8. Never had to change factory one. Just looked up the price out of curiosity. I have glowshift gauges in two of my cars. I like the gauges. No problems so far. Just the sensors that come with them. Hopefully I get more than 3 years out of this one.
